ReplyDeleteWe're all so quick to judge ourselves - and others. Sometimes we just need to stop for a moment. Step back. Put it all into perspective. And, most of all, stop giving ourselves such a hard time!
So, thank you for reminding me of this fact. I often get bogged down in the minutiae of routine. Every so often it's really, really important to step back from that.

DeleteThis is great advice and inspiring! I agree that we are often harder on ourselves than others are on us. We have such high expectations and want results from whatever we're doing instanly. This is a super reminder that Rome wasn't built in a day and neither are we going to achieve our goals.

DeleteRight along with that is some advice I've recently taken to heart: Stop comparing yourself to other people, and start comparing yourself to an earlier version of yourself. That's where you can make real progress.
